According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, Jackson will try to hire former Bulls guard Steve Kerr as coach to replace Mike Woodson.

Wojnarowski noted that Kerr has long been Jackson's choice to turn his vision as an executive into on-court success. As Wojnarowski wrote:
"Jackson had convinced Kerr to come to Seattle as his coach, league sources told Yahoo Sports, only to have those plans foiled when a purchase agreement with the Sacramento Kings fell apart."
Kerr played on Jackson's last three Bulls championship teams (1996-98). He has never coached; his only front-office experience is a stint as the Phoenix Suns' general manager (2007-10).
